My battery died and now the Radio won't turn on either. I got the battery on a charge to get the car running again. Thats when I noticed that the radio won't come on. Also I noticed that the auto up on the driver and passenger side windows won't work. They go down automatically but not up like they use to.

Whenever you completely disconnect a battery from a car (newer car) all the computers shut down, and everything becomes discombobulated...after you drive it a little bit, they kick back in eventually...just takes a little time. (and patience)

Had battery replaced on 2005 DTS and afterward the radio/NAV/On-Star would not work.(Totally dead) The dealer who installed could not locate problem. (No GM dealer in Amador County, CA). I read several forums citing this/similar problems. I checked the three fuses labelled "radio, audio, NAV" by pulling, checking and reinstalling (all three were good). When I then restarted the car, everything was once again working! Poor connection? Corroded contacts? Some mysterious computer glitch? Who knows?

It appears the radio "on/off" switch in my 2003 Cadillac DeVille is shot. One day it was working and the next day it stopped working. The time light is on and I saw the radio station indicatorl briefly...

I'm sure only the switch can be replaced, I suggest you look in your local Yellow Pages under Automobile stereos, and look for a repair shop that specializes in repairing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) GM radios. They will be able to assist you in repairing your radio to "new" working condition.

2001 cadillac deville theft lock on after replaced battery help!

IF when you purchased your car you didn't set your own personal code you will have to take this to your local GM dealer and they can pull the code that is set at the factory and unlock your radio.THe proceedure for setting your own code then unlocking radio is in your owners manual. The dealership I worked for did this for free.

Radio won't work after replacing batter

Check manual for any codes to unlock antitheft feature that may be part of the stereo/cd player. Hate to say it, but may require a call to dealer service, which should be able to help with code. Have your VIN ready.

I had the same problem. disconnect the battery cables. then reconnect them. this will reset the cd player and it should relaese all your cd player problems.
this happened twice to me and the above worked fine both times.

Looking for my battery on a 2004 cadillac deville

the battery is located under the rear seat cushion on your cadillac deville, to remove the rear seat cushion just pull up on the front of the cushion to release it and pull it forward. you will see the battery and a fuse block.

there are also terminals under the hood that run directly to the battery for jumpstarting but going to the battery itself is the best way. those re-located terminals don't usually work because the amperage has to travel pretty far to get to the battery.

2004 cadillac deville has intermittent dead battery

do a load test on battery may have a weak cell and is in of replacing they may have left radio and key on which was enough to drain what was left in the battery maybe only operating on 11.5 volts put on all accessories and rear defrost and see what the battery gauge does if it goes really high or if it stay normal or shows a low reading

CD Player Quit Working

the only thing i can sagest is that you leave the battery disconnected over night this may reset the cd player and it may Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} Recognise that it has cds in it
the only other thing i can think of is that when it says enter single disk only that you do so to a point don't let it go all the way in
this may make the cd player think there is a disk in there
hope this helps

Check your fuses, the radio fuse in your fuse block may have blown when you rehooked up the new battery
