Ford Head Unit / Radio Code.

If you need a code for your Fords original head unit (radio) then I might be able to help... What I will need you to do is send me your head units serial number.

The serial numbers I can help with start with M, C or L... These serials can be found on the label stuck to the head unit which will mean you will need to remove the head unit from the car.

You can send me your serial number via my email

Radio not working

There should be 2 blocks that come from the car. One for power and one for speakers. The power is red, the earth is black, the yellow is usually a perminantley live wire, the orange is an illumination wire and the blue is a remote wire (which recognises when the key is turned) the wires from your radio needs to be lined up with the correct corresponding wires. If they are connected correctly change the fuse at the back of the radio head unit and the fuse for the car radio. If you have done all the steps above and the radio still doesn't work then you can use a voltmeter to test if power is coming down the wires. If there is and the radio is still not working then you have a faulty head unit. If it has been incorrectly fitted previously you may have blow the amp inside the head unit, an easy way to tell if this has happened is to smell the back of the radio, it will stink so you will know its burnt out

Hope this helps

Radio problems

if it's the original radio, the part in the dash is not the radio, it is just the control head. the guts of the radio unit are under the dash above the accelerator pedal. did you replace all of it? or just the control head or just the actual radio under the dash?
