Acceleration problem hello i have a problem with a 1992 mitsubishi 3000gt sl. My car drastically accelerate without pressing the gas pedal, and in some other ocasions it does the opposite and looses power. I've already changed the air sensor and filter, along with the water pump and the timing belt . Unfortunately the problem persist. I really need help n finding a solution to my problem.

this is a worn out transmission front pump and or forward clutch pack, u have low pressure or a internal seal is leaking and you are losing hydraulic pressure that way, that is why it sipls out of gear.
check for any miss fire. try to clean the MAF with brake and parts cleaner dry it good and try to clean the throtel body with carb and shock cleaner if still same check spark plugs
do you think the throttle position sensor will be associated with the **** acceleration prob. ?
