This is most likely caused by the sensor thay is locaed inside the fuel tank itself. usually when a fuel pump is changed , so is the sensor as it is attached with the new pump.

Fuel gauge stays on full

You may have a unique problem!!! Normally I would say it is the sending unit- in the fuel tank!!!! But Buick LeSabre had a weird thing happen from time to time. Look closely at your fuel guage and focus on the PIN that acts as a stop for the fuel guage to not go beyond the Full mark. Make sure the pin is on the correct side of the pin!!! Sometimes the needle will somehow jump the pin on "E" or "F", and literally hold the needle in place.

Gas gauge reads half full when less gas in tank. Also speedometer heads 80 ot sometimes higher when driving slower.

sounds like you have a bad ground in your dash where your gauges are located should come out as cluster check for loose wire!

Fuel guage wont work stuck on full

THIS PROBLEM IS CAUSED BY A DEFECTIVE FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT, THE SENDING UNIT IS LOCATED INSIDE THE FUEL TANK AND PART OF THE FUEL PUMP MODUAL ASSEMBLY, THE FUEL TANK MUST BE REMOVED TO REPLACE THE SENDING UNIT

Fuel guage stuck on full.

It is most likely a bad connection at the tank,or the gauge,if you find the wire,on the connection ,at the tank, ground it,if it pulls down to empty, then the gauge is fine.If you secure the connection at the tank, and the gauge still,is past the full mark, replace the sending unit at the tank.
