1. Position vehicle within 10 feet of garage door- engine off and battery on.

2. Press/hold 2 outside buttons of Homelink transceiver until red indicator starts flashing rapidly, then release button. This should take about 20 seconds. This erases any previously learned codes.

3. Press/hold remote control and press/hold button of Homelink transceiver simultaneously. Slowly move remote control from 5" away to 1" away from Homelink transceiver. Release both buttons after red indicator starts blinking rapidly. This should take about 5 seconds. I discovered that the Homelink in my TL is a bit faulty because it took much longer to accomplish this than when programming the Homelink in my MDX. My TL's Homelink may "unlearn" it's code in the future and the needed proximity of the TL to the garage door may be much closer than desired until I get the Homelink fixed.

4. Press training button on garage door opener unit until the indicator lights illuminates- this should be immediate.

5. Within 30 seconds press/hold the Homelink button for 2-3 seconds until the red indicator starts flashing rapidly. Repeat a second time. It should now be programmed. Check it by pressing the programmed button on the Homelink receiver.

6. When programming more than 1 garage door opener unit, disconnect power from unit before programming more units. By not doing this the programmed unit could conflict with the unprogrammed units commands.

Problems:

1. The Battery in the garage door remote may be too weak to program Homelink. However, the battery may be strong enough to operate the garage door. One of my remote controls had a weak battery- my system was installed today, fresh out of the box. I had to use the second remote control for the programming of Homelink on my 2 vehicles.

2. Antenna on the garage door opener unit must be hanging down, fully extended.

Check the video, it explains it very clearly. better than all the text I found on different locations on the net since it shows u what "homelink" button is and what they mean by different speeds of flashing.

u either will succeed by doing step #3 or u must continue to #5
I have a 2000 Toyota Camry Solara XLE and had to continue to step #5: U WILL NOT "NEED" 2 people to do this. I went up the ladder, pressed the RED (Learn) button on my garage opener motor unit and tyhe yellow LED in front of it turned a constant on, i went down and pressed the homelink button (the one with a bumpy dot on it) for 2 seconds, the illuminating light on the motor unit flashed once and i pressed it again and held it for 2 seconds and VOILA! my garage door got closed. btw during this process your garage door will open at least once in step 2 and will have to be closed when testing/confirming the homelink button. i did not need to move it more than this.

OK that link will not work if u copy paste it, problem is solved by going here instead

    http://www.homelink.com/programming/prog...

once there, choose your make/model/year. I chose NOT SURE for model brand and I was taken to a page with a video and a link to download/print instructions and used the video which appeared to be a universal one for all vehicles and succeeded using the instructions given by the voice.

SOURCE: acura mdx am radio problems

there is a tsb on this one..this issue is most of the time linked to poor contact ,corrosion in the wiring of the antenna, damaged or loose antenna. It is located on the rear of the roof and to access the wiring, the head liner must be pulled down.

SOURCE: I have an Acura MDX 2003 and can't disable the factory security alarm... I don't have a remote

If it's a cheap aftermarket alarm, check for a red wire coming off the hot side of your battery with an inline fuse. If it's not, try to locate the alarm "computer" under the driver's side dash or nearby your fuse panel. You'll find a black box with a wiring diagram glued to the side, normally strapped to a wiring harness or other fixed element. If this is the type of alarm you have, you'll need to trace each wire coming from the alarm computer and unclip each fastener that's clipped to your vehicle's factory wiring. The trouble with these types of alarms is that they can get power from a number of sources (stereo, interior lights, etc.). Good luck with this one!

My remote will no longer open or lock my doors I have a 2002 Acura mdx I changed the batteries thinking that was probably the issue but still nothing.

The remote may have to be "re-trained" to your vehicle. The owner's manual should have the process listed. Probably having to sit in the driver's seat with the untrained remote while working the lock controls on the driver's side door.

How do I program my garage remote in my 2003 es300 Lexus?

You probably need to program the garage door opener, not the car.I have only had to program the Craftsman opener in my garage once(our 2005 Grand Caravan has a built in opener)The opener should have a programming button(my Craftsman opener's button is under one of the light covers). It will probably have the programming instructions near the button(in TINY print). You will want to have ALL of your garage remotes handy(to make sure they all still work after adding the car's remote-some openers have a maximum number of transmitters allowed.
