Question about 2003 Ford Ranger Regular Cab
The doors lock automatically and simultaneously (about 2 times each) and fast when I turn the ignition this makes the engine struggle a little to turn on. The doors aren't supposed to lock upon start-up. Mechanics said the battery is fine, but I've had the same battery since I bought the truck. Could it be the battery cables, shorted door lock actuator, or because the battery is old (battery did die the other day after having lights/radio on for 20 mins)
It probably is the actuator but try disconnecting the battery for about five minutes and then reconnecting. This should reset the computer, its worth a try.
