The interior door cards were removed to fix. i exchanged the drivers lock. The diesel level was very low but it did start pushing. Next day I could not get him to run not even pushing. The engine was turning but not running.I dont know what to do. I have refilled the diesel tank again and still not runing. On my panel the light for airbag is on and the Abs comes flashing when I turn the ingnition. I have no ideia where to start. Can anyone help.

Re: Engine turns but doens start
The US publishing firm Chilton, produces excellent service manuals for nearly every production car made and I am sure yours is one of them.
Being European, the manual for your car may be sold under the name Haynes.
Check with auto parts stores in your country to see if they are available there.
I think they would be of great help with your problem.
They cost from ~$17 - $30 US

Hello, to change the oil filter try to follow this steps.
1, Lift the Passat with a car jack and place the jack stand underneath it and if don't have use a set of wheel ramps , make sure you brace the front tire so that the car won't roll.
2. Pop the hood and locate the oil filler cap and dipstick Passat cars have the dipstick on the front side of the engine block. Unscrew and remove both the filler cap and dipstick.
3. Gather an oil drip pan, new oil filter, socket or box wrench, filter wrench and cleaning cloths. Slide under your car and locate the drain plug and oil filter. The VW Passat oil filter is on the front side of the engine block. If your Passat is a 1998 or newer, you must remove the lower engine cover for access to filter.
The square aluminium block on the left side of the engine is the oil cooler (water/oil heat exchanger). The oil filter is placed inside the aluminium cylinder block above the square aluminium block. It has a black plastic round cover with 14 edges. See picture below:
Exhaust pressure sensor a possibility if it has a DPF (diesel particulate filter). Has it had its fuel pump recall, the oil pressure light could be just the constant cranking and running the battery low.
Drive car on ramps or 2 2x12s reach behind oil pan remove bolt drain hot oil from car that has just been driven.into pan. When oil is just dripping very slow say 15 min replace plug. Now just behind front bumper next to engine is an oil filter remove it with an oil filter wrench. Make sure the gasket came off with the filter or just reach up with a clean rag and wipe the housing it will fall off if you touch it. Put oil on gasket of new filter and screw it on when the gasket touches the housing go 3/4 s of a turn more. Put in about 5-1/2 to6 quarts of 10w 30 oil. Start engine for a min ck for leaks shut off and ck dip stick and make sure it reads full after sitting 5 min or so to let oil dip down into pan
I belive they didn't reset the oil light timer. I belive the sequence is 1. key on (not acc with engine off)
2. step on the brake pedal 5 times within 10 seconds. 3. key off. 4. start car. 5. check if the light went out. you may have to try it a few times to get it.
you need to remove front bumper , remove front into service position , remove aux belts set timing marks up ( you will need to use locking tools ) lock crank and cam shaft remove belt replace belt and tensioners . please note it is also use full to check water pump
Hi,One of the fans is the regular one , the other is an auxiliary one it should come one when you turn the air on . they must be working properly . leave the car runing with the hood open and wait till fan comes on , if it does not comes on you should have it check by a tech...good luck....
