If you have not done so have the computer tested for trouble codes, Kragen, Auto Zone and others will do this for free. One common problem is the idle speed control valve and the throttle blade get full of sludge, this causes stalling at lower speeds and when the AC is turned on, you can clean them with a can of throttle body cleaner from any auto parts store, carb spray will work as well, have someone hold the engine at a high idle speed, pull the air intake hose off at the engine, then spray the carb spray into the engine, use the whole can, the engine will try to stall, hold the speed up to keep it running, after the can is empty shut the engine down and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, reconnect and drive about 20 miles city and highway, this will reset the idle speed control and the problem should go away.

Start checking and eventually replacing air filter, spark plugs, and fuel filter, check that air intake is not obstructed.

Try first to understand if it is a fuel problem, or a distribution problem.

If it is a distribution problem, the car will misfire, usually in this case you also find that one of the spark plugs is dirtier than the others.
Inspect spark plugs and eventually replace them.
If the car keeps misfiring, check the rotor distributor caps, and inspect the distributor for excessive carbon dust or cracks in the inside.

If the car is chocking because there is not enbough air in the mixture, check air filter and air intake. Eventually replace air filter.

If there is not enough fuel getting to the engine, check the fuel filter and eventually replace it.
    Inspect the fuel lines.
You can start from the fuel tank, if there is debris or oxide coming from fuel tank, blow the fuel line from the engine side toward the fuel tank with a compressor to unclog them.
Check fuel lines to carburetor ort injectors.

If it is a carburator model, it may need a carburetor setup.

If it is an injection model, the ECM (car computer module controlling also electronic injection) must be connected to a scanner/code reader. This will return codes that will address the problem.

If it is an injector problem, injectors may aso be cleaned with a specific procedure.

The last two operations can be performed at a qualified garage.

My car starts and runs at first but sometimes at a stop sigh it will keep sputtering and duing and wont stay running,

If you feel it starting to die - toss it into neutral before coming to a full stop.

If it then keeps running, your TCC solenoid is locking up (common problem on all TH125C trannies). As a quick fix, pop the hood and disconnect the square green 4 pin connector going into the tranny. No more lockup over 50km/h, but no more stalling.

1993 Chavrolet Cavalier it shakes badly in parking mode

Yes I have repaired both of these concerns on hundreds on 4 cyl. GM models most of the time the bad engine mount is the one on the passenger side of the car.And it is the TCC solenoid that gets stuck on.

Vibration when in gear, and stalling.

The problem is the torque converter solenoid. I had it happen on my 94 Cavalier a few years back and was a cheap fix at the local car mechanic. What happens is the transmission warms up and hits a certain speed where the solenoid engages, but then it sticks and won't disengage until it cools down sufficiently. When it sticks, it causes the car to shake when slowing down and will snub out the engine if you come to a stop.
