you need to adjust the motor. under the the rear window on the inside of the trunk there is three bolts holding it in. just move in small increments and test... do you have any lights on when this happens? like "convertable top"????? you have to reprogram it then.... let me know and i can guide you thru it

Thanks for the help, I will pass this on to my service guy. The button I hold to activate the top starts blinking when the function stops. The last time it happened, it got within 2 inches of the top latching process and stopped. The light began to blink. After I couldn't get it to move, I turned the car off and through several attempts, it did ultimately continue through the process and closed and the light went off. So you think the motor is just loose?
