2004 Chery Silverado: Right Front Wheel "Wobble"

If I trun my wheel all the way over to turn left, the right front of the truck has a "wobble" - like the it is moving up& down. Also seem to be more pronounced when backing up, than going forward.

It does not happen when I straighten the wheel out and drive. .

There are a couple of things to check. Linkage, control arms, idler arms, inner and outer wheel bearings, warped rotors, tire misalignment etc...

I have Toyota 2006 sienna and front right wheel shakes or wobbles ... I have new front tires and balanced.. but still wobbles a little...please any thoughts?

Hi Scott.
Try switching the wheels from left to right side and see if the wobble goes with it.
If not, look for a worn tie rod end or other suspension component.
If wobble goes to left side, look for bent rim.
Cheers.

What is causing my truck to vibrate severely or shimmy when going thru a left hand curve to the point the wheels actually wobble?

A worn or damaged front end part. Tie rod end.drag link, ball joint, worn bushings the list goes on and on.The front end needs to be checked out to see what needs to be replaced.

What is a CV joint?

A wobble in the steering is more likely to be one of

- loose wheel nuts
- loose hub nut
- worn steering tie rod outer joint
- worn steering tie rod inner joint
- loose steering rod universal
- worn steering knuckle ball joint

Out of these a worn or loose steering tie rod joint is most likely. If you can, jack the front of the car up and rest it on axle stands, NOT just on the jack, then have one person shake the front wheel back and forth while holding it at 9 and 3 o'clock, while another holds the steering wheel still. Then look at and feel each joint to see if you can locate the looseness.

raise front of car and check wheels, hubs, ball joints, grab wheel and wiggle it all around for wobble or improper movements, could be a bad wheel bearing hub.

My Silverado front end wobbles at any speed, not affected braking

Couple of checks , mud in front rims will give you a wobble. Front tire cord seperation or loose wheel nuts. , Wore out tie rod end, front wheel bearing play, or a weight has fallen off the rim and it needs balancing. If it is vibrating your steering wheel, have the front end looked at right away.

Steering wheel wobble between 5-30 mph. and again at over 50mph

possibly bad brake hose or twisted/kinked causing pull. wobble may be bad/worn axle shaft on right side.some right axles are 2 or3 piece design.carrier support bolts maybe missing but more likely joint is worn. look for boots that have split or cracked&leaked grease.
