Question about 1997 Audi A4
There isn't a release. When the car is off and unlocked, just push the fuel door in on the right side and it will flip open. When the car is locked, so is the door. Another thing is that there isn't a trunk release button either....

There is no in-car button, simply push on the side of the fuel door to open it.
