Its either pin 109 or pin 54. 109 Ignition pulse detect (tach) 54 Power transistor for #1 and #4 coils
i am trying to install - a781e49.gif
the diagrams from the S-AFC has this diagram. which uses pin 54.
i would try pin 109 first, if that doesn't work, try pin 54. its possible that they will both work.

Is 1994 Galant VR4 OBD compliant. I see a 16 pin connector under the dashboard.

all vehicles dated before 1995 either have the reg obd connector, or there own specific make connector, like ford has there own, gm has there own, dodge etc... all vehicles 1995 and up are equiped with obd 2 connection.. not sure what you were asking.. but hope this helps

Mitsubishi evo/vr4 idle fluctuating between

Galant VR4 or Evo. which car is it?

have you reset the ecu? disconnect the battery for 5 minutes. make sure you have any radio codes if your radio has a security code lock.

Also could be the idle control stepper. Mitsu gives it some name like ICU but it's a small mottor attached to the throttle that opens and closes valves to let a little more air in and up the rpm.if it's sticky try cleaning the throttle and the valves.
