REMOVING THE SPARE WHEEL ON A RENAULT MEGAN

May hava control body module issue..scan car ata partstore. Try disconnectn computer n cleaning plug or unhook batt few min..sensitive electronics

Undo the centre cover screws,s or push down and a 1/4 turn, if it has an air bag pull the fuse for it out undo the centre nut to half way rock the steering from side so side really hard they usually come off other way is the correct puller ,mark the wheel to shaft to go back inthe right place

try your spare card?or its maindealers to get it re-programed.

you have to go in through the cover in the wheel arch. when you grab the back of the bulb holder only turn 1/4 turn then pull out. also b4 you put it back in clean the two metal contacts on the outside of the bulb holder. ps you have to twist your arm to get at it they can be a pain.

Hi ,This is a common renault problem,If you have a spare card you need to try this first other wise its a trip to renault and lots of money to replace your cards and reprogram the system,sorry there are no other options when the card fails or the card reader fails only Renault have the security software to re-program the system.

Open the tailgate, lift the trunk carpet, to the right of the lock catch, you will see a nut.

Fit on the wheel brace, and wind anti clockwise and the spare should appear at your feet !

open your tailgate and right in the middle in front of your tailgate catch pull the boot carpet back or there might be a little **** in the carpit when pulled back you should see a bolt head remove your wheel brace and apply to the bolt head turn antyclockwise you spare wheel should drop a you turn it,hope this helps.adrian

This sounds like you have a pressure fault, these gearboxes suffer from pressure solonoid failure, take the car to your dealer and have it scanned, this will show the fault, it is not an expensive job, but if left it can turn into one.
