Question about 2001 Mercury Sable

Fan doesnt blow air or heat anymore

It used to work fine. Then in the summer the fan just stopped blowing. Now it gettig winter and the heat doesn't work either.

Check the pipes, when you get only cold air, it is often becose one of the air lines is broken.

If the motor is running, and you just can't feel the air it may be that when the filter was changed something fell in and is blocking the airflow. If on the other hand the fan motor is not blowing at all you likely have a bad switch or motor.

check that the heater control (tap ) is being turned on by the controls.. Have an accredited ac mechanic check the ac system .

your heater core is possibly stopped up if there has been a radiator leak and stop leak has been poured its definetly clogged or could be a faulty thermostat

It sounds like the system is fried. Based on the description, it is just pulling in the outside air and not doing anything to heat or cool the flow. Unfortunately, this is a job for your preferred mechanic.

I have a 1998 Dodge Durango SLT-V6 that has no heat.

your a/c compressure probably went south you cancheckthat by manualy trying to turn the comp.clutchby hand or have a trusted mech.check it for you.

No heat unless set at max temp. setting.

Hey Summers,, Are you running the A/C with the temperature set at max heat?? If yes. STOP... the A/C is for COLD air..As far as the fan speeds not may have a fan switch that is going bad..(my vehicle is doing this!)..

first check and see if it has a thermstat installed or stuck open, second, make sure that your heater has not been bypassed by connecting the two hoses together
