1995 Chevy Blazer will not start

Nothing happens when I turn the key.  The battery is good.  Replaced starter last month.  Where should I start looking?

It ran fine for a long time after replacing the starter. What happened is we made several stops while shopping one night, and at the last place it just wouldn't start. Turn the key and nothing, as if I was trying to start it in gear. I double checked that it was in park, and even moved the gear shift a few times to reseat it in park and even tried it in neutral. Still no effect.

After you replaced the starter did it start? Check that you connectd all of the wires to the starter properly, make sure that they are secure and not corroded, double check that the starter is in correctly and not on a bit of an angle causing it to bind. Then check that all of the fuses are good and that the maxi fuses ( large fuses ) located under the hood are in good condition. also chek any relays that may be in the same fuse pannel as the maxi fuses.

take a look at your battery cables, this doesn't happen very often but on occasions it does peel some of the insulation off and see if they are corroded sometimes they get sorrosion between the strands and are unable to carry te current. Also check to see that there is a grond strap or cable between the engine and the body of your vehicle and that it is intact.

My 1995 toyota camry will not start just replaced battery and cables when I turn key nothing happens and nothing in the car will turn on except headlights

Hi and welcome to FixYa!
If that's the case then the problem can be on the starter itself. If you have replaced the battery but there's no click on the starter still then the problem can be on the starter solenoid or the starter gear is stuck.

I strongly suggest that you replace the starter for this can help start the vehicle. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

Have a good one!

It won't start. It has power, but turn the key

Does it make a clicking noise when you turn the key? If so its probably the battery. If there is nothing heard at all then it could be the starter is jammed or the connection is broken like last time or the relay is needs replacing.

My 1996 Chevrolet Blazer won't start most of the time. Engine don't turn over, or the starter when I turn the key. All I can hear is some clicking coming from the carbarator & a humming noise under my...

The humming noise you hear is the fuel pump. It is probably your starter soleniod. If you hear an electric click under the dash near the steering column when you turn the key then the ignition switch is ok and your starter needs to be replaced. This happened to me last month.

Chevy blazer won't start

Well odds are that your blazer is fixed by now. Either way sounds like a bad battery, that's why you need jumps all the time. Why it would die, there are too many possibilties off hand. So what was wrong with it?
