Question about 1994 Nissan Maxima

1 Answer

Maxima power windows

Hi, so I hear you had a little problem with your PW! Me too! Just a few Q's. When your windows weren't working, was it just the master switch that didn't work, or was it all of them? I've checked the fuse, even switched it with another. It seems to work fine. I'm trying to find out if it is in fact the master switch, or a wiring problem between the switch and the fuse panel. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. It's starting to get cold, and I'm tired of freezing my **** off on the way to work. Plus, what if someone stole my priceless gem! That would ****! At least they'd freeze for it.
Thanks,
Chilly in my Max

Try to close them using the keyless entry system on the door.

How do you know if the starter on 2009 nissan maxima

If it is working correctly it will start the car.

If it is not working correctly, you may hear it spin, you may hear it engage and turn the engine over a few times and then spin unladed, or you may hear nothing.

If you hear nothing and know the battery is fully charged, check to see if any fuses have blown or wires loose.

If starter is loose it will make a great deal of noise.

1995 Maxima driver-side window not going up or down power motor can hear it running but the window will not move

Check for a broken cable on the window regulator. Also check that the gear on the motor is not broken.

Left backseat power window went down but won't go back up all the other windows work fine

Can you hear the motor turning in the door? If not, that is your problem - bad motor, loose connection......

If you hear it, the window regulator is probably broken. Google it for details. To fix it in a maxima was $75 (cost of part).

Power window not working 1994 nissan maxima

First check the fuse, then the power window switch, then the power window motor. More than likely it's the power window switch.

Power Windows

If none of the windows are working you should check the fuse in the fuse compartment.

Power Windows not working

I had the same problem with my 94 maxima. I bought a used power window switch and replaced it. Works like new. Took me about 5 minutes.

1990 maxima Drivers side window, will power down but won't go back up

Check the cable that lifts the window. If the cable is frayed or twisted and stuck the window will not work.

If this is the case the window regulator assembly must be replaced. It contains the bracked and cables that operate the window. It cost about $100.

I replaced all four on my 1990 maxima.
