1995 ford explorer oil pressure gauge not working

There is a sending unit that is probably bad. It is located, in most cases, near the oil filter. It is a $10 part and simply screws in and a wire hooks to it.

2002 Ford Explorer when ignition is turned on all gauges including speedometer max out and odometer resets, after a few seconds everything goes to normal

Are the gauges digital? If so, then when the ignition is turned on, it automatically does that. I have a 1996 Lincoln Town Car with digital gauges. We I turn on the ignition, it does the same thing your Explorer is doing. However, if your gauges are not digital, and it returns to normal, then I see no problem. If it does not return to normal, then the computer that controls those devices needs servicing.
