YOU PROBABLY HAVE BAD SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES.YOU NEED TO CLEAN FUEL INJECTORS AND CHANGE FUEL FILTER.THIS LITTLE TUNE UP SHOULD HELP.ANY TIME YOU SPRAY ETHER DOWN AIR INTAKE TO GET ENGINE STARTED YOUR ENGINE NOT GETTING ENOUGH FUEL OR SPARK TO COLD START.YOU NEED RICH FUEL MIXTURE ON COLD ENGINE START UP.AS ENGINE WARMS UP FUEL MIXTURE HAS TO BE LEAN.
Use a timing light on one of the plugs to check if there is spark, or hold the wire near the block and crank the engine looking for a spark. If there is spark spray some Quick Start into the intake. If the engine fires a few times it is a fuel problem.
There so many cause for a car to just shut off. First thing you do is chec for spark. If no spark check for blown fuse. If there is spark check for fuel. Do this by spraying some starting fluid in the air intake. If it starts then dies then it is not getting fuel. The cause can be a fuel pump fuse, clogged fuel filter, or worst a bad fuel pump. If there is spark and there is fuel and it still wont start, check the timing. If timing is good and still wont start or it starts and then stops, then the exhaust is blocked. maybe by corrotion or something.
Try spraying starting fluid into the intake of the air cleaner while someone else starts the car. Continue spraying the starting fluid for about 15-20 seconds. If the car starts, more than likely your fuel pump is bad. Check your fuses, and make sure you are getting power to the fuel pump. firstname.lastname@example.org
the brain is not sending the proper fuel pressure codes to the fuel rail to evenly distribute the fuel to the intake and fuel rail. perform a fuel pressure test check on it ok? also run a diagnostic scan on it and see what codes come out.
