I have a 2008 Grand Caravan and it states that the cabin air filter is behind the glove compartment, so like you I remove the glove box and nothing. I called the dealer and was told that on some models even though they say there is a cabin air filter in actuallity there is none
The cabin air filter is located by the passenger floor board, if you have a dual or triple zone a/c unit. If the unit is just a single zone unit there is no cabin air filter.
Underneath the glove box (next to the floor) there is a rectangular cover. Remove the cover and the cabin air filter is located above that.
Just remove the filter and install the new one.
