Question about 2000 Lincoln Continental

2000 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL steering assist to sensitive

My 2000 Lincolin Continetal town car is way to sensitive steering. I'm almost unable to drive at speeds over 50 mph as just a small touch of the steering wheel will put the car across the road. Is there a assist valve to the power steering or something that could have gone out?
thanks

Looking for a DIY manual for a 2002 Lincoln Continental.I have already checked with Haynes. They don't have one. Any reccomendations?

I refer to the Chilton one at local library. Not too good on FWD with large engine since book there it covers Tarus and town car as well. The CD referenced below sounds a lot like a 2000 Ford workshop information CD that includes a lot of the same information on the Lincoln Continental. I purchased it on eBay. I mostly use it and library book to educate myself before I go talk to a service adviser. I only do the basics myself.

Trying to locate #6 cylinder coil on 1999 lincoln continetal V8.Is there a diagram showing the sequence of cylinders?

there probably is but here is what i know, #1,2,3,4 are on the passengers side starting from the front going to the back of engine...#5,6,7,8 are on the drivers side starting from front to back...so #6 plug is the 2nd plug on the drivers side and the fuel rail may be in the way to access it and the power steering pump bracket may be in the way as well.
