We have a 1994 Ford Escort LX. The dashboard lights were staying on and the seatbelt was coming to the up position when the car was shut off. The next time we went to start the car it would not start, and everything electrical would not work. We replaced the battery, and the dashboard lights are lit up and the seatbelt is still coming up into position when shut off. The engine is turning over but car won't start. If it is something electrical, it may be causing the fuelpump not to prime the injectors. We don't know what could be causing such an electrical problem.

1993 Ford Escort 1.9 has intermitten spasms and misses at idle and at highway speed but not all the time. Already changed Idle control sensor and fuel filter. Runs as if its not firing on all cylinders. Checked the plug wires in the dark, no grounding spark is present. When it clears it runs great but noticed the problem is getting worst. Has new timing chain in the last 20,000 miles. Engine is not overheating and no change in oil or antifreeze color. thanks in advance.
