Question about 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue
I have a 1998 Olds Intrigue with 100K miles on it. I have kept all the regular service up on it at recommended intervals, however, the "Service engine soon" light keeps coming back on. How do I turn it off without disabling it?
The MIL light AKA service engine soon light comes on to warn of a malfunction in the emission control system or a problem with electronic engine controls like fuel control, there will be one or more trouble codes stored in the PCM (powertrain control module) to show what system or sensor has an issue/problem, take the car to any Kragen Auto, Auto Zone or other chain parts store and they will test it for free, write down the trouble code or code's and post them back on this same thread for me to look at, then we will have some info on what to fix to get the light to go out, also have them reset the light when they test it, it will come back on in a few days, but maybe we can fix it before then, OK?
