Question about 2003 Chevrolet S-10
Truck starts and runs fine when it is cold but after it has warmed up and it has been run a while it want hardly start back, you haft to crank it a long time for it starts and when it does it smokes and it smells like pure gas and stanks. But after it starts it runs fine after that it has around 108,000 on it.I cleaned the iac and it didn't help none. Would appraciate any advise or help to do.

Is there any water in the oil? or may be the sparkplugs.?
I've had a car with the same problem... and that turned out to be the head gasket blown wich led to water in the oil... and getting on the spark plugs... the longer time in cranking would allow the oil to burn off the spark plugs.. and that helped in getting the engine to turn over, once the spark plugs were replaced, and the head gasket replaced... everything was fine.
I'm just trying to offer some help. I'm no professional.
