Since I have no way off knowing your driving conditions like hills stop and go traffic etc. there is no way really to answer this, tell me about how and where you drive, the number of miles on the clutch, and I will attempt to give you a intelligent answer.

Manual transmission wont go reverse

you get zero points for no year, and no model.... LOL.
and 10 for knowing its a STICK ,first post ever , for stick. good.

reverse gear is the canary gear (coal miner, lingo)
it has no synrcho. so is the first to get angry. funky , or act-up.
my guess is all other gears work perfect? car drives?
power you meant engine running or not.?
sure. (generic no model or year, answer)

this is a bad clutch system( not a particular part) and many cars have a hydraulic acutated
clutch. ever check the fluid level there , at the clutch MC (master cyl)
oops it's gone, right?
the clutch must dis-engage 100% and not drag or REVERS will fail.
the MC /slave system. the slave like to go bad, then leaks then
level drops and reverse begins to drag /fail, and later all gears dead.
all cars with setup, do that , vast numbers of cars. all qualty stick cars,
cheaper cars have cables. and service adjustments. ,
you clutch is service free, except the 2 year flush and fill. Dot 3/4/

Ford taurus air compressor

Ask if the system was checked for leaks. Not just die checked but by actually hooking up gauges and watching. The system could be pulling in air ( and moisture) after being shut down. This is unlikely. But when you eliminate the obvious you have to start looking at the unlikely.

Can't get the car into gear when engines running, but can when engines off is this the clutch gone.Car VW golf plus.year 2009.

Could be your clutch's slave cylinder, part is 166.00 at Autozone,Is your clutch's reservoir empty,if so then your slave cylinder is leaking and is bad.How does your clutch pedal feel,,not much or any pressure.

SECOND FAN CLUTCH IN 3 YEARS WHATS GONING ON AND WHY?

Some of the aftermarket clutches are not very good quality. If you can pay the price, go with an OEM clutch from GM. I understand that Dorman makes a pretty reliable unit.

Had my clutch replaced at 125,000 miles 2 years 8 months ago, it's been 28,000 mile now and it is getting hard to shift, can no longer put easily in to reverse without grinding? Have I lost my clutch...

It is possible but check for fluid levels first. If you are loosing resistance on the pedal, it is possible that the clutch master or the slave may have gone bad.

There is no pressure when i press down my clutch, I just had it replaced about a year and a half ago. It didn't feel like the clutch went?

clutch master or slave cyl. could have gone out so you are no longer releasing clutch thats why no pressure on pedal. look for Brake fluid leak -clutch uses same type of fluid. or master cyl can leak or bypass internally and just not build pressure.

How do you adjust the clutch on a 1993 318IS BMW? When I try to start the car, even with the clutch all the way down, the car wants to go, so the clutch is not really having any effect.

Most likely it is a hydraulic clutch, hence not adjustable.
Most likely it needs a new clutch, it is 17 years old.
There could be an inspection access where an experienced BMW person could tell you if
your clutch plate surface is gone or if there is another failure.

I have a 1987 Toyota Celica with a clutch problem, i just had the clutch redone 2 yrs ago. It seems that the free play of the clutch is gone, my pedal just sits right above the point where it would engage...

you ride the clutch excessively ,and slip the clutch between changes ,i can make a clutch last for 200,000kms ,but i have customer who has a new clutch every 6 mths to a year and he does just over 1000kms in that time .he will not use first gear and doesnt change down just rides the clutch to go up hill .he clls it clutch control ,i do not care because i make good money from this cantankerous person who knows how to drive with clutch control ,he even holds it on a hill on the clutch instead of putting handbrake on and then gearbox in neutral -I am just fitting him another clutch today ,the last one was easter last year .
