Installed new battery on 2006 Galant and it still wont crank the engine. Put Jumpers on and it starts. Whats the problem?

If you're jumping with the jumper neg lead on engine block (like you should) then you have a bad ground lead.
If you are jumpering to the battery terminals then the connection to the battery itself is bad. Clean the battery connector terminals.

Charge up a new battery and installed it. Tried to start and only get a clicking noise

Hi Jeff,

Welcome to Fixya.

Double check all the connection wires from the battery gioing to the starter and going to the ground. Clean the terminals if there are any corrosion.

Try tapping the starter using a hammer while someone is turning the key to start the engine and see if it will start.

Let me know if this helps.

98 jeep 4.0 crank no start

Check the grounds at battery to engine and battery to car body and engine to car body, and check all fuses-fusible links.

Battery is new, engine won't turn over.

The voltmeter should only go as high as 14-15 volts when the engine is running. I would check for a poor connection between the battery and starter.

My ml 320 does not start. the battery is new

Crankshaft position sensor maybe at fault when it fails i will stall the engine and/or not let the engine start and will not throw a code. Beyond that and no other explanation also replace the coil packs as no one rarely does and they may be bad.

It has a new battery and new alternator worked well for a while but now it won't start. Why?

The alternator has nothing to do with engine starting -- it just keeps the battery charged. Now, the battery, if dead, will account for a 'NO START" condition. Have you checked the battery's state of charge? If not, you should do this. If the battery is OK, then the problem is elsewhere. When you wrote 'now it won't start.' do you mean that the starter 'cranks' the engine, but the engine won't start/run? OR do you mean the engine won't 'crank'? Without a DIRECT inspection of the starting system, it's IMPOSSIBLE to diagnosis/troubleshoot your problem here.... unless you get me more information regarding what's been inspected/tested and the results of those inspections and tests.
Hope this was helpful.

Replaced battery, started 5 - 6 times, new battery ded.

Nope, but they are usually near the battery, solenoid or starter (where main service wires are)
