I agree it would be the thrust bearing or (throw out bearing) have had same prob with mine not an easy job though you have to remove bell housing and cluch plate aswell as pressure plate

Why does my car make noise on neutral but when i hit the gas pedal it goes away?

You need to locate the source of noise first , it seems to noise of drive line only. Which consist of flywheel , clutch system and gear box.
1) In case you are having same problem with clutch engaged or disengaged position ( while throttle is on) , then there is a possible problem with the neutral gear ( if it is not abnormal but just high in magnitude than it was previously than consider replacing the transmission oil) otherwise get the gear box checked with a transmission specialist.
2) In case you are having the noise problem only when clutch is engaged than u may consider to refit the clutch plate and pressure plate , there could be a problem of torquing.

Does yours have AUTO hubs, there are some luxory models have auto hubs, these rely on difference in drive on the axles,(wheel spin) others have manual locking hubs, these actually need to be engaged manually, these require you to twist the centre of the hub to engage and disengage the front hubs, these sometimes require you to reverse to disengage properly, Rodeo had both depending on model. no it could be air condition clutch that engage/disengage the air condition compressor and disengage it through the pulley or could be the pulley bearings one of them . also check the solenoid that controls that clutch .
have a good luck sir .

How do I adjust the clutch in my 2005 F-250 Superduty with a 6.0L Diesel

The clutch on this vehicle is hydraulically operated and as such there isn't any actual adjustments that can be made. A worn clutch disc can cause the clutch not to engage until the pedal is very high up while a problem with the hydraulics can prevent the clutch from fully disengaging which will cause the gears to grind when trying to shift into first or reverse. Hope this helps a bit with your question.

Check your gearbox oil level. If thats ok.Then you have a problem with the thrust bearing either worn or dry.The only solution is to fit a new clutch kit.Hope that was helpfull

94 4Runner 4WD Question

1. I would suggest that you engage your 4WD while you are in full stop and/or safe range of 5mph, however as claimed by the local dealers your vehicle is capable of engaging even while driving. Engage your 4WD while moving only when necessity requires.
2. That clicking noise while turning extreme right or left would be the birfield of your axle and would only mean your front hub is still engage even though you have disengaged transfer case.
Have your front hubs cleaned of old lubricants or grease due to non usage. dont use grease as lubricants, use thick oil such as gear oil or silicone oil. and use your 4WD every now and then.

Do this first then check if you still feel somtehing is loose on your suspension and others.
