Two days in a row my girl drove it to work. It started up fine in the cold morning. She goes to work and has two 15 min. breaks and sits in it with the window down. Then at lunch when she goes to leave it won't start. It makes a fast clicking sound, but eventually it dies completely. Any ideas???

Re: 02 Denali won't start
Tell her to not use the radio at lunch ..she is draining the battery...replace battery..recommend gel type with deep cycle rating highest you will afford and if she must ..run engine at lunch time to charge system

sounds like you have a failing ecu. the capacitors in the ecu are worn out. there has been a lot of problems with the ecu on mazda's over the years, only take one out put overload from the alternator and the ecu starts playing up. no codes come up as it don't code its self. having the battery off is like a reset.
You should have 2 02 sensors in your exhaust system. The second one trips the ligt if your emmissions are too high abd it monitors the condition and efficiency of the cat converter. The 02 sensor in front of the muffler monitors the fuel adjustment for too rich or too lean. Now, on a cold start there ias a "cold start valve tha enriches your fuel like a choke. It can be the culprit because the #2 02 sensor is doing its job. The cold start valve can be chk'd to see if it is working by observing it.. It is behind the Throttle body. It should be clicking. Good luck and I hope this helped. Oh, wwhen the engine warms up, and you have clear the exhaust of excess fuel the light should go out.
f the light is on steady it is prob one of the emission sysytem's like 02 sensor.. as long as light is not blinking ok to drive till fixed..
Clear light by: taking batt cable off for about 3 min and prees your foot on break while cable is off.. then put cable back on.. light will go off for a while but as soon as it sees the problem again it will come on
