Question about 1986 Audi 5000 CS
Engine runs great but when you floor the gas pedal the motor cuts out at about 4000 rpm.
That could happen from something as simple as an overdue air filter, bad plugs, or, unless you know it to be fresh, a failing timing belt, which could destroy your engine which I think is an 'interference' type that can have valves and pistons occupying the same space at the same time if the cam gets out of time.
