look for a code stamped on the bell housing mp6 and mp7 if there the same you can its about 2 half inches from the top bell housing bolts but before changing the whole trans check the fuses rev has a solenoid the controls the dog clutch that can go bad
More or less, yes. As long as it is the 9 bolt exhaust manifold on the '99 then everything except the intake manifold will bolt into your '01. The intake manifold on your '01 is a vertical plastic type while the '99 has a horizontal aluminum type. Bolt off the '99s and put on your '01 and you should be set.
yes it can, i had a 97 silverado with a 2000 escalade front end on it and it was air bagged. the front end will bolt right up to it as long as there is no damage to the front end if it is off a salvaged escalade. if you dont belive me email me and i will send you a picture of my truck. email@example.com. the 88-98 chevy silverados will fit a 99-01 escalade front end. but the 02 escalade will not.
I replaced the tensioner on my 91 and my 94 as they were bad. The same part fits the 99, though I have yet to replace the one on my 99, so I assume it has two bolts as well. If you have high speed access go to youtube and search saturn tensioner. Some guy has a video on there showing it being done lickety split with an air ratchet. While you most likely do not have air tools, at least that will show you where the two bolts are located if you cannot find them. You back out the bolts, pull out the tensioner, put the new one in and replace the bolts, tighten firmly. You have to have the plastic access panel behind the right front wheel removed to get at the bolts and to put the belt back on. Hey while you are in there you may want to replace the right side motor mount which is right in front of you. The one on the other side is under the battery box, your car may run a bit smoother with both of them replaced as the rubber grommets tend to wear out. These two keep the motor from yawing back and forth in the engine compartment. There are another two mounts which take a bit more skill to replace.
The Saturn Aura introduced a new bolt pattern for Saturn (and GM), 5-110. The SKY is the only other Saturn with this pattern. If you look to the extended family, the Chevrolet Malibu (2004-up), Pontiac G6, Saab 9-3 (current generation), Pontiac Solstice, Chevrolet Cobalt, Pontiac G5 and Chevrolet HHR use this pattern as well. There is also a very large selection of aftermarket 5-110 bolt pattern wheels.
