You will need t take it to a shop or have someone with a scanner plug into your car to retrieve the error code to diagnose the problem.

SOURCE: I have a 2002 Passat with a v6 engine with 65 000

I have an 02 Passat 2.8 4 Motion. I just had mine done at 95k and my mechanic said the belt was in surprisingly good condition. Although, its better safe than sorry. VW/Audi has had a history of premature belt breaks. If it does break say good bye to your engine. Both the 1.8T & 2.8 are interference engines. The cylinder will crush the valves.
Use a private shop...I paid $560 for both timing belt and water pump. Dealer quoted me $1300!

I have a 1995 Toyota camry with 144,000 miles on it. I don't know what is wrong with the transmission, but it will not shift, and i can't go faster than 35mph. The check engine light is not on

I think either the throttle position sensor on the throttle body or the shift valve in the transmission has a fault. It could also be a failure of the direct clutch in the trans.
The check engine light will not notify you of a trans problem. Instead the O/D Off light blinks. This light is not normally on, so you should check to see if the globe is OK by looking for it when turning on the ignition and starting the engine, and then by turning the O/D on and off at the gear shift lever. If you never see the light, the globe has failed.

It does sound as though you need an opinion from a trans specialist, but get 3 different ones, because some of them tell porkies.

My 2000 Buiok Park ave. sometimes will not start and after letting it sit for about 4 or 5 min. it starts right up. This only happens about once a week, but seems to happen more frequently now. I have...

the ckp sensor should cause check engine light to go on and log a code
the fuel pressure could do this and no light would come on
the engine at that time would crank over ussualy faster and would not sound the same
when cranking over hitting the gas tank whit rubber mallet in center would cause pump
to kick in at times and would indicate that fuel pump on it's way out

96 Probe GT. Fuel pump doesn't run when it should.

Does your car run? Some fuel pumps run quiet so you will need to get your ear close to the gas tank and have someone turn on the ignition. The pumps only run about 3 seconds when the ignition is turn on without starting the engine.

Engine runs fine, no problem want's tempature is

I had a similar problem with a Ford Excursion, it turned out to be intake manifold gaskets. It would stall then start right up again, it ran fine during warm up. But, once fully warmed up it would stall at stop lights and stuff like that. I did get a check engine light, the code was lean condition. I don't know on a Jeep, sorry I can't be of more help.

Engine pulsing, poor idle

Yes, do check the coil, look real close for any hair line cracks on the side of the body of the coil; if it IS cracked, this is def your problem. Hope this helped. Thanks for choosing FixYa!
