Standing in front of vehicle looking in towards the engine, right side, driver side rear(just to the right of the distributor), but you need to remove your upper(sigh) intake in order to see it and access it. Unless you can access the fpr without, this jobs sucks, sorry.

On the 2004 Chevy Malibu where is the oil pressure switch

If your talking about oil pressure switch in parallel with fuel pump relay, doesn't apply with this vehicle. Note the diagram, I looked at info for the 3.5L engine. Check applicable fuses. If you have different engine, let us know. Are you missing anything else? Engine cranking you have spark and fuel injector pulse? Included is location of oil pressure switch for 3.5L

check your inertia switch on the passenger side kick panel. It is a red switch that control fuel pump pressure.Check and see if its engaged etc.You should here the pump once you turn the key to phase two. This is a start..it the switch is not the issue, check the fuel pump fuse.

99 tarurus stop getting fuel.

Could be a fuel pressure regulator or lost signal from crank sensor that gives inaccurate data.
The crank sensor is responsible for sending data to increase fuel pressure as a function of increased RPM. If the RPM reads low, then fuel pressure will be low.
Check fuel pressure.
Thinking that air pressure is affecting pressure regulator and compensating for a weak regulator diaphragm.
Would be interested in final fix of your problem.

Fuel pump continues to try to function when truck key is off.while key is off if i switch to opposite tank that pump starts to function even w/key off

fuel pump is going bad. or your pressure return is stuck. or your relay to the fuel pump is sticking .plugged fuel filter. bad ground to the pump. that is all i can think of besides a faulty key switch.but most likely its a pressure issue fuel injection needs a certain amount of pressure to fire the injector so when you change tanks the pump has a pressure change so the pump starts to keep up pressure. hope it helps

check if the input side of the fuel pump has a restriction . a perished rubber hose can be a problem , the pump should be able reach a pressure 35 psi + and a flow of a quart every 30 seconds at this pressure.

Check the fuel pump wiring under the car. If the connectors are exposed to the elements they could be corroded or dirty causing intermittent problems. It could also be the ignition switch. One other thought. Some gm cars have the oil pressure switch tied in t the fuel pump, so the fuel pump shuts off in case of loss of oil pressure. Sometimes the oil pressure switch will cause problems with the fuel pump not working. You could check this out by using a jumper wire in the oil pressure switch connector to bypass the switch to see if there is any change in the fuel pump problem.

Oil pressure switch puts power to the pump after it is started.

Pumps also tend to loose their ground with age. I often splice in a new ground at the pump to eliminate that problem area.

Need some votes, thanks

Where is the fuel pump cut off switch located on a pontiac grand prix se 1997?

There is no fuel pump cut off switch in General Motors vehicles. If you don`t have fuel pressure or the pump is not running you have to check the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge. You can check the fuel pump fuse and make sure it is good.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Suspect fuel pressure. You could install a fuel pressure guage. There is always a fuel pump cutoff safety switch. It is either in oil pressure switch or alternator connection. But have you changed the fuel filter?
