Question about 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT

1 Answer

Electrical Problem Hi, Developed a fault on my Mitsubishi Delica L400. Whenever the ignition is turned off the interior lights won't work, the radio resets, the clock resets, the trip counter resets. When the ignition is on it won't let me turn the radio up really loud, the interior lights are dim. Any ideas where to look?

This sounds like a bad Earthing point off the ignition, fuse boards or battery, check ALL connections to the battery and earthing connections througout the vehicle, a long process, OR, you can take it to a vehicle electrician and pay them, the easiest solution is the latter.

Hi I have a 94 mitsubishi delica. The o/d button doesn't work. I was told this is a regulation that o/d is always on.My o/d only works if I pull the fuse. That itself causes problems.Any ideas please.

TCC solenoid could bad or the button could be bad, or the ECM could be bad, along with wiring. when you pull the fuse the transmission shifts with pressure. Hard shifts at higher RPM's. Needs to be scanned( which does't do to much) and checked with a volt/ohm meter. Since it still goes to OD, Your transmission is still working. You have an electrical issue.

Why i lost engine power after i change fuel filter on MITSUBISHI DELICA turbo diesel L400 2001 model?

check for air in the fuel system
If you did not bleed the system after replacing the filter that will be a fair bet.

Sounds like your a/c compressor is worn out. When the internals get sloppy, they won't build pressure.

Front weel lights on the instrument panel blinks all time

Its NOT a problem at all, The vehicle WILL be in 2WD if the Lever is in the 2WD position, To sort this problem reverse in the vehicle in 2WD for about 10m. if the light do not go out, the Vaccum Solinoid is more that likley kaput. As the 2WD system works off Vacuum, the Solinoid can be found under the Fuse Box in the engine Compartment, It has a load of Rubber Pipes coming off it, with blue and yellow dots on. As i said, this is NOT a problem, i have an L400 and mine was flashing for about a year before i got a new Solinoid, Off E-bay.

Engine starts for 3 seconds and then shuts down, radio, locks, trunk release, interior lights do not work, clock/radio display shows time but nothing from radio

Hi,
This could be a tricky one - so just go through the options methodically untill you effect a repair.

If it has an immobiliser fitted - try using another key. Sometims the chip in the key fails.

If you did anything prior to this problem - jetwashing, using a mobile phone near the steering column, serious work etc - try these areas first.

Check alternator function.
Check fuses.
Check fuel level.
Look for leaks.
Check belts condition.

It is behaving like a major electrical fault. Check the BIG fuses in the engine bay fusebox. After this - check that the ignition switch is supplying a switched live feed when in the "on" position.
It could be a faulty switch contact. Possible if you have uprated lights somewhere.
