Question about 2005 Nissan Murano

TRANSMISSION NOISE I READ ON "FIXYA" ABOUT THE PROBLEM YOU HAD WITH THE TRANSMISSION NOISE, MINE IS DOING THE SAME EXACT THING. DID THEY FIX IT? HOW COSTLY WAS IT?

I have the same problem. But unfortunately, I now have 130,000 miles on my car and there is no warranty.

I started hearing noise a few months ago. My repair guy assured me it was the hub assembly in the wheels - said we could take a look at the problem on my next oil change. I brought the car in, he replaced the hub assembly on one side, still heard the noise so he replaced the hub assembly on the other side, still heard a noise and felt (with his hand) that it was coming out of the transfer case in the transmission. He spoke to Nissan who told him that he has seen this come in a few different times. Apparently in a "few instances" they've been able to open it up and just replace the Transfer Assembly. The Hub Assembly replacements just cost me $670 and I'm now staring at about $3000 to work on the transmission. I'm so disappointed/

This doesn't seem right for a car with 130,000 miles. Has anyone else had this problem with a Nissan Murano?

I bought a 05 Murano SL and two months later I heard a very slight clicking noise upon acceleration. I took it in to Nissa twice, they couldn't hear it. Well another two months later the transmission started making a loud clicking noise and turns out they had to replace the entire transmission (under manufactures warranty) - that tranny was on backorder so I drove a rental for 3 weeks til they got it in and replaced it. So since they were on backorder, i'm assuming there were many of these with tranny problems.

cHECK FOR LOOSE SPARK PLUG OR AN EXHAUST LEAK. IF THIS IS AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, POWERBRAKE IT WHILE SOMEONE LOOKS TO LOCATE.
