First start by getting a repair manual.
There are usually 3 cables to the system.
Which are bad?
To replace the rear cables you might have to disassemble the rear brakes (probably not).

I recently bought a 2005 grand caravan. Today while driving home the brakes just started locking up. Has anyone else had this experience and what can I do about it

brake lock up is normally caused from a build up of fluid pressure from heat generated by dragging brakes
normally there is enough air space in the reservoir to accommodate the expansion of the fluid or it could be a blocked compensating port in the master cylinder
Take it to an accredited brake specialist shop for a pad and caliper inspection and have a proper diagnosis done and a quote

I have a 02 grand prix the abs light and trac off light came on and when i push my brakes half way down it makes a grinding noise got codes c0040 and c0245 from auto zone what is the problem please help i...

You probably have a problem with one or both of the front brakes - probably a wheel bearing shot and ABS sensor failed or disconnected. I would take to a brake shop immediately, and not attempt a long run with the car.

Abs light on anf off after rear brake job. Today

Not a booster problem. what bad noises? abs problmes wont make noises, unless its the pump operating. ck the mushy pedal, that will maybe fix all problems. I dont think its related to the 2/4wd lights?

It's a V6 automatic, has 140000 on it. When car is idle and I press the brakes, the engine shuts off. Then I start a car again, press the brakes again, shuts off. Please, I need some help

Sounds like a brake booster diaphragm rupture. When you depress the brakes, the intake vacuum drops rapidly and stall the engine. It's an involved procedure to fix it requiring you take off the master cylinder, which requires brake fluid draining, refilling and bleeding at each wheel. If you've never done brake bleeding before I suggest you bring it to a shop.
