Most common cause is a bad power steering line. Clean off the power steering pump and refill it with fluid. Then, while the car is running, have someone turn the wheel from side to side while you observe the power steering unit. If you're unable to see fluid leaking from the fittings on the lines, the leak will likely be due to a kink in the line further down.

Powered Steering , Just top up with fluid , and turn steering wheel Left & Right a few times. WITH ENGINE running , You can't bleed Powered Steering., not like bleeding brakes

It could be anything from a suspension problem to a bad power steering pump, or steering rack. I would have it checked out by a mechanic before the cause fails completely.

Also ,you have to look under it ,
a few times a year,to see if it leaks

No leaks,your okey

YOU MUST CHANGE TRANS FLUID
on ALL VEHICLES every 30,000 miles

Power Steering- every 3 years or with
trans at 30,000

My friends ford fusion power steering fulid tank had a leak which we have now fixed.. however the steering is feeling gritty and is making a strange noise is this normal or is something seriously wrong

Either you have air in the system cuasing the pump to " cavitate" or not enough fluid or the wrong fluid.
Are these pumps you put in new, used or re-built ?
Fluid HAS to be going somewhere.

If front end steering linkage and ball joints are free, likely the pump has worn out and is not making enough pressure.

could be one of 50 things lol could be your steering rack or one of your cvs have come out or broken
