Peugeot 806's Aircon?????

Hi. Hope I find you wel today.

My 806 wasnt used for a long time and now the Aircon controle panel will not come on when the car is turned on. Not even a light, no way to controle the fan or heating/cooling.
Somehow the heater is switched on and I have no way of switching it back of again, the result is very uncomfortable as you can imagine. I dont have a owners manual so I can't even do some fault finding. I have checked all the fuses and all of them are still fine. Is there any other thing that I can look for to find the problem? Could it be that there is no more gas in the system?
Please help.
Thanks

It definitely sounds like the electrical part of your ignition isn't working properly. When you turn the key, the lck and tumbler turns on the ign. switch in which sends power to the rest of the car.

SOURCE: peugeot speedo mileage counter and speedo dont

Had this problem on mine & the main dealer were stumped. Eventually found it myself after a lot of pocking about.Have a look at the wiring loom in the engine compartment. Looking under the bonnet look closely on the right hand side of the engine above the gearbox where the wiring loom passes from the rear of the engine over a metal bracket/support to the front. The loom has a tendancy to rub against the bracket and eventually damage the cables within. You will have to remove the air filter canistor & a few air hoses to get to the bracket. Good luck!

Clamp the hoses to the matrix or drain the coolant but you will still get a bit off leakage when you disconnect the hoses in the footwell
remove the glovebox door and the panel below and you can then see the blower housing

No i dont think so ,to cure this you will have to take it to a AC specialist as the faults are too numerous to mention anything from a faulty pressure sensor to a cooling fan not coming on and a whole lot of relays inbetween all controlled by a array of sensors from some behind the bumper to some in the interior of the vehicle .To check some of the sensors the gas will need to be removed to remove and change the sensors as well .Also it could be a faulty feed to the switch where the supply wire has a burnt connection ,make sure the fan is working as it will not operate if the fan motor isnt working either

Peugeot 806 s reg front brakes binding

Flush the brake fluid at the calipers for the whole system. Keep adding new fluid into the master to be sure to flush it all and check to make sure you're using the same DOT spec (3 or 4). Water expands when it gets hot, possibly keeping positive brake pressure at non-braking. Brake fluid absorbs water and the only place to get water is at the seals in the calipers.
Bad flex hoses would be an all-the-time problem, not just at higher temperatures.
