Question about 1998 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup
The starter on my truck is going out ,I took it in for a estimation at a car repair shop, they told me that it is really hard to get to. It would take two hours to fix and would cost me $399.99 plus tax. How hard is this to fix ? is this something I can do myself? The truck is a 4x2
If it is a 4cyl engine you need to push the starter towards the front of the truck then pull the nose out of the bell housing, stand the starter straight up and pull it out

It's not really hard if you are mechanically inclined. It's about a Two to three hour job.
