Re: 1994 NISSAN ALTMA REPLACE BACK WINDOW
The seals should have been put onto the glass before replacing the glass onto the car, you may have to remove the glass again to put them on.... there is no way to just put the seals on after placing the glass in.

This is a very daunting task not to be taken by the average person. Even if you could take the column out I would recommend a shop. Possibly a cheaper way is to get one from a salvage yard and I do mean a whole column. This is outrageous but these columns are far to meticulous to do. Can call a roving locksmith to do it maybe and he may say key cylinder yes, ignition no.
whats happening is the trans fluid is draining back down into reservoir problem is the piston seals that drive the clutches engaging drive the car also wont reverse until enough fluid press builds this problem will get worse as seal fails you will have to rebuid or replace trans

On the DOHC: The Spark Plug Tube Seals (Washers) on the Valve Cover has developed a leak.
Install new seals.
Remove the Valve Cover to Install the Seals.
If the Valve Cover Gasket have not been replaced recently, go ahead and replace them as well, making sure you clean thoroughly BOTH surfaces before installing any new Seal Washers and Gasket.
