Check spark plugs, spark plug wires, and also vacuum hoses for leaks. If all this checks out ok, start with new fuel filter, fresh gsaoline.

Spark Plug Replacement

GMC suggests that all spark plugs be replaced every 100,000 miles. When removing spark plugs, always remove one spark plug wire at a time to avoid mixing up the wires

I hope this answers your question

How do you remove spark plug wires from spark plugs

they make a special plug boot tool that aids in breaking the bond between the plug and the boot, any auto parts store has them, about $5-$10 depending on type and brand, the one below is the one I prefer to use

IAT SENSOR

what do you mean by control? there is one wire normally pink or white with pink strip that is power 5 volts + black is ground and a reference voltage 5 volts ground is black or white so the other two colors would be the control wires going to the computer. However would need the first 8 numbers of the Vin to know for sure. you can also go to www.alldatadiy.com and purchase a subscription that will give you the exact information you need, they change color codes for wires from time to time and if you hook it up wrong you can destroy the computer so I suggest you purchase the subscription to be sure.

New spark plugs, new plug wires, new fuel filter, flush and refill radiator and new tranny fluid and filter, have tires rotated, chassis lubed, and have power steering fluid checked to see if it needs to be flushed and refilled.

I dont understand why you would need that unless you took off all the wires and took out all the plugs and forgot how the wires were.I have the same truck and I always do the plugs and wires one at time to make sure I make a mistake. If this is your ploblem let me know because i might be able to walk you though it.

2007 gmc sierra 2500 IAT sensor

Well, the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor is located on the air intake duct between the filter and the throttle body (Assuming you have the 6L motor). The wires are easily visible at the plug that connects the sensor to the wiring harness. That's the easiest place to access them.
