Question about 1998 Volkswagen Jetta
My headlights will not come on. Also the blower motor doesn;t work and the brake light on the dash stays on. If I try and turn my bright lights on they won;t stay on unless you hold them. If you hold the bright light switch the blower works and the brake light goes on. All other lights work with the headlight switch
I had the same problem. The solution is simple; the ignition switch needs to be replaced. This is an easy do-it-yourself project. Here are instructions:
Check for a switch on ebay, they are about $15. After 10 years they wear out.
