I have a 2003 Dodge Caravan, which has only 87 000 km. The engine sign appears and remains always on. The engine seems to be working well. No noise or other problems. What could be the problems?

Not much to be done, however there is always this:
proper tires, alignment
Proper tire inflation (this is huge)
clean air filter, perhaps an air filter that is less restrictive
proper motor oil
Be certain the engine is at proper temp, not running too cool.
I hope this may have helped,
Hate to tell you this , but sounds like the pump is going in the transmission. First check the fluid level to make sure the fluid is up to full. The fuild and filter need to be replace at 60,000 miles. Clogged transmission filter can restrict the fluid flow into the transmission fluid pump.
SOUND LIKE SEVERE ENGINE MISFIRE HAVE VAN SCANNED AUTO ZONE WILL DO IT FOR FREE .BUT MAKE SURE FUEL FILTER NOT STOPPED UP MAKE SURE PLUGS AND WIRES IN GOOD SHAPE.FILL FUEL TANK UP.PUT A BOTTLE FUEL INJECTOR CLEAN IN FUEL TANK.TO CLEAN OUT FUEL INJECTORS WHILE YOU DRIVING THE VECHICLE.ALSO BAD COIL OR COILS WILL CAUSE ENGINE TO MISFIRE SHAKE.
