    When I turn the ignition on my 1989 Mazda 323 hatchback the radiator fan runs even though engine is cold. The fan continuously runs after 20 minutes of driving. Why. Please help. Thank you

Replace the cooling fan relay, another person had the same issue, that's waht it was.

It could be the temperature switch in the radiator. the temperature switch is under the air box and splash gaurd. it is screw in the radiator over the flow out pipe

There is a relay that keeps the water pump (elec) and fan running until engine is cooled down. Thhai is usually only 2-3 minutes.

Most likely it is your electric part of the igniton switch.It is not hard to replace.
That is what you should try first.

we will usually check fuses and relays first. then put power directly to the fans and see if they power on. this will narrow down your problem

Cooling fans do not turn off without pulling the fuses.

yes they should be connected to a thermo sensor

My porsche cayenne s keeps over heating but only

Porsche 944 1983 model runs hot. When the fans come on it returns to normal but creeps back up and repeats.

if you changed the sensors on the head , then the fan temp sending unit on the fan assembly is faulty. it's sending a false reading to the computer therefore keeping the fans running replace this and the proble will be resolved

Cooling fans won't shutoff

If With the Ignition OFF they are On and You remove the Relay and They Turn OFF Sounds as if the Cooling Fan RELAY is STUCK ON Replace The Relay is What I would Advise
