Master key I lost my only master key for honda civic 2004. I am in senegal and honda is not represented How I can do for a key

its in the FSM.
or buy the key and DIY.
in the dark ages we had 2 screws or 3 and out it came.
now they have tamper locks. and a key.'
so RTM and use key
or drive it to any mech.

I cant get the key out of the ignition

Try to rotate the steering wheel while trying to push the key to (0).

Theft of 2004 Honda Civic


since the ignition key cylinder wasn't damaged, i can think of a few possible sernarios.

- a tow/repo truck was used

- if you bought the car used, the previous owner had a copy of the key and used it to gain access and start the car.

- if you have taken the car to a honda dealership for service/repairs, someone at the dealership may have encoded (the transponder on) a duplicate key. they would also have no problem looking up your address.

buy5.gif It's directly on top of the engine, in the center, toward the back. It looks like a rectangle in shape, and has I believe 6 screws around, and one permanent screw in the middle. Just take out the 6 screws, loosen the middle one, and pull it off. Quite easy!
