Passenger side of the car (if American) just ahead of the rear wheel beneath the body. You do not need to jack up the car to see it or reach it, it is practically right up against the outside frame. Make sure you have the exact size wrenches (preferrably a flare nut wrench for the filter body fitting) you will need before attempting this. Spray both connections (inlet and outlet) with PB Blaster well in advance and make sure you have the appropriate sleeved crush washers to seal it. This is an easy job to do and an easy job to flub up if you don't have the right tools.

I am changing the Fuel Filter In my 1991 SAAB 900 Turbo I bought it from someone who had it sitting in their yard for 3 years and though It would be good preventive maintenance to flush coolant, change oil...

LOOK UNDER CAR FUEL FILTER LOCATED FORWARD OF FUEL TANK. RELIEF FUEL PRESSURE BY DISCONNECTING THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR AT THE FUEL PUMP OR REMOVE FUSE.CRANK CAR UNTIL DIES FROM LACK OF FUEL. THEN REMOVE FUEL FILTER USE IN LINE WRENCH AND OPEN WRENCH.THIS KEEP YOU FROM DAMAGING FUEL LINES.WHEN INSTALLING FUEL FILTER THE ARROWS SHOULD BE POINTING IN DIRECTION OF FLOW.

I don't think Saab are different than any other car, and that being the tranny filter is inside the tranny.

Just need to know how to change fuel filter on 97 saab

Fuel filter is located on the passenger side just in front of the rear wheel. Pretty standard fittings, you will need a set of line wrenches. Make sure you pull the fuel pump fuse and crank the car over to relieve the line pressure before you crack the lines open.

I have no power to my fuel injectors on 88 saab 900 turbo

There should always be power at the injectors as long as the fuel pump is on. The fuel injection ECU provides a ground to the injectors to turn them on.
You most likely have a bad fuel injection ECU. This is a very common failure on 88,89 and 90 SAABs.
