While I was tracing back the wiring from the alternator, I found a place on the driver's side where the harness went through the frame and came up between the fender and the wiper fluid reservoir, battery tray, and battery, from there the harness went into the relay box. When I removed the battery, battery tray and wiper fluid reservoir, I found a "hidden" fusible link that could not be seen without removing the reservoir, and it had melted. I had already fixed the cause of the melted link, which was a short in the cooling fan wiring.replaced this link, put everything back together, and jump-started the car. No problems since.

We tested the alternator it shows not to be that the brake light and battery light come on so the battery is good it's brand new and what could it possibly be

But have you tested the alternator on the vehicle. It might bench test good, but that will not tell you if it is working on the vehicle. With the engine running you should be getting at least 13.5V to the battery at idle. If it is lower that this you will need to find the problem with the vehicle wiring.

Have nothing working no lights battery aint getting power Good wires ,good alternator, battery lights used to turn on

Sometimes there is a fusible link in the hot lead to the battery. Check shop manual to see if there is one. Otherwise, look for bulge somewhere close to the hot battery connector. Look for fusible links elsewhere if you cant find one near battery.

was the alternator bench tested? or tested on the car? if the alternator tests good off the car and the wiring has been tested, the ground may be loose or disconnected.

My battery light won't go off even though i've had the alternator tested and installed brand new battery

well; on your car, the alternator has an internal regulator. have you checked any wires or harnesses that ran off the battery? And see if you may have a cut place on your cables, or if one has come loose from the ground.

Battery aint holding a charge just bought new alternator for my 1992 ford explorer 4x4 plus a new battery i bought

take the negative battery cable of and put a test light in line from the cable to the battery post with the ign in the off position. light should not come on. if it does you have parasitic draw of power from somewhere pre-ignition. check you alternator and starter wires to be sure they are connected properly.

Have the battery tested, even new ones can be faulty. Then check the entire wiring harness between the battery and the alternator.
