I forgot to disconnect battery before replacing my alternator in my chevy truck

The large red wire going from the alternator to the battery is actually a fuseable link. It has a section that is designed to melt just like a large fuse. The section is thicker than the rest of the wire.
You can buy a replacement section, but it may need to be soldered in place to carry the amperage. You may also be able to use a maxi-fuse in place of the fuseable link.

Internal fuse melted

Go to your local parts store and buy a fusable link wire(about 5 bucks) and install it between the wires where you have taped them.

Hope this helps

Cooling fan 94 corsica

Replacing the fan is a straight nut and bolt job.
The fan is going to be the expensive part.
I would suggest a local wrecking yard for the part.
