It is the connection for the OBD II. normally it has a plastic piece covering it that you can only remove with the ash tray removed

If it's a 1996 and newer jetta, it's the obd II diagnostic port.

Ashtray bulb

Pull the ashtray out. Then remove ashtray holder-probably 2 Phillips head screws. Light socket may be attached to holder, or may be accessed with holder out of the way. I think those bulbs would be push-in type-bulb is probably 194 or 168 designation.

Turn Signal Flasher Location

turn signal flasher, I just replaced mine last night without having to mess with the fusebox or glovebox. It turns out that it was attached by a clip on the right side of the ashtray frame inside the dashboard. I took out the removable "cup" part of the ashtray, then removed the two upper and two lower ashtray frame screws. Next, I pulled the frame forward and disconnected the small ashtray light. The power wire for the cigarette lighter can stay attached. After I slide the frame out the rest of the way it was easy to get to and replace the flasher unit.

Where is cigaretter lighter socket in Nissan Altima year 2000

It would be next to the ash tray. If you don't have an ashtray, then there should be a plug-in with a cover that says 12V on it.
