Need to replace the Door mirror glass. Is it just a simple matter of prising the old one off and replacing or is there anything I need to know or a knack to doing it, like top/bottom/side first ?

It should just pop off if you get something in behind the acctual glass and gently lever it you dont need to get the rear casing off at all. If its heated the wiring will be simple bayonet connectors easy to take off/on. Gently push the new glass into position and readjust teh mirror from the cabin as it will have moved!
Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.

You need to put on a pair of gloves, and safety glasses. (Safety First !) Prise off the broken mirror from the plastic base that it is stuck too.
Give the plastic a clean with nail polish remover or similar.
Peel off the backing on new mirror glass, and carefully stick it on.
Hi there! I think you poke a screwdriver into the slot in the bottom of the mirror housing and move it side to side. The mirror is probably held in a sort of cage in a bayonet type fitting. It's really clear when it's out but the first time can be awkward. Alan.
no as a matter of fact it is real simple nowadays...just remove the broken glass and go to the auto parts store and they have another one in a kit that glues right back on to the mirror... good-luck ray
If the metal pivot arm is not broken you can just replace the glass and plastic housing. To remove the glass you tilt the glass down towards the floor and use a wide plastic or wood bladed object to prise from behind, the glass should pop off from its clips. Remember to catch it if its not damaged. To remove the housing once the glass is out you need to look underneath the mirror unit, there you will find a small plastic bung, gently prise it out and then use a long small flat bladed screwdriver straight up inside the hole and lever towards the front of the car whilst lifting straight up on the plastic housing, this should then lift off. To replace just slot the new housing on and click into place then fit the glass back, remember to connect the wires first if it is a heated glass.
If the metal pivot arm is broken then you will find the remaining screws behind the plastic trim inside the vehicle.
hi there the easiest way is to remove the lower black cover 2xscrews then with aplastic spreader locate the 2 tabs that hold black cover to mirror cover and press them in and pull black cover down then with a small pry tool carefully prise mirror glass out and disconect wires this will reveal the small single screw that holds the cover to the mirror unit remove this and the rest should be self explaned hope this helps..
