After running perfectly, the wrx refused to restart, we eventually established it was the fuel pump as no gas was getting through. We installed a brand new pump and the car started first try and ran beautifully for about 20 mins. Two hours later, we went to start the car and it was back to turning over but not firing.. any ideas?
All filters, etc have just been replaced as well.
On both cars, check the fuel pump/guage harness connector under rear seat - the old fuel pump draws too much current and melts the connector causing poor conatct & voltage drop off. Easy to see usually, just cut the two fuel pump wires from either side of the connector and re-join with new crimp connectors, or solder joint.
