Question about 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass
When installing a new starter in my car the guys mixed up the wires. My car is now starting on its own. When they diconnect the battery it will shut off. They been outside now for 3 hours and are still unclear how to re-install correctly. PLEASE HELP.
It is probably just the two smallest connectoers on the starter solenoid are crossed. one is to supply power to activate the starter, and the other supplies full 12 volt power to the ignition while starting. if crossed, the wire to the ignition will supply power to try and activate the starter.
